Calusa Indian mound

HUGE PLANT from nature center Boca Raton,Florida,thought to be extinct, found on an old Calusa Indian mound"
Calusa was an Indian tribe from Florida; they build mounds since about 2 thousand years ago (!); in these mounds many (viable?) seeds were found, including peppers seeds.
So I wonder if those seeds were viable and our plants came from them?! (hence the name)
